2012 Art Show Triptych La Cloche – Manitoulin – Killarney

It’s going to be a wonderful summer for art lovers and outdoor enthusiasts with the 2012 Art Show Triptych underway this July.

You will be able to enjoy the beauty of La Cloche, Manitoulin Island and Killarney while visiting three of Ontario’s best art displays.

The 35th annual La Cloche Art Show kicks off the Triptych opening between July 7 and 15 at the Whitefish Falls Community Center located in the beautiful La Cloche Mountains.

This is a juried show and sale with work in various media including oil, acrylic, pencil, watercolour, pastel, mixed media, photography and sculpture. Local and international artists are always represented and it is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. www.lacloche.ca

The 18th annual Manitoulin Art Tour, July 20 to 22, provides you with three days to explore the largest freshwater island in the world while visiting artists’ studios throughout the island.

Local culture, old homesteads, rivers, lakes, wildlife and Native legends are a few things you will see on and off the canvas. Over 30 unique locations are open daily, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., showcasing photographers, painters, sculptors, potters and more from across Manitoulin Island and area. www.manitoulinart.com

The 7th annual Killarney Art Show and Sale takes place July 28 and 29th in the brand new Killarney Community Centre. You will be able to discover the beauty of the Killarney landscape with its majestic quartzite peaks and windswept Georgian Bay shoreline through the inspired works of the visual artist.

The show is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a variety of paintings, prints and photographs depicting the Killarney and La Cloche area. www.friendsofkillarneypark.ca
