JOLA KLIM (Ceramics, mixed media, jewelery)108 Popeye Lane West Elliot Lake, ON P5A 2S9 416-561-6821 Jola Klim immigrated to Canada in 1982 and worked as a teacher in Toronto until moving to northern Ontario in 2013. Since then, she has devoted her entire time to exploring further various artistic media with the pottery and ceramics as the main passion. She is a multidisciplinary artist working with both three and two-dimensional forms of fine art - one-of-a-kind pots for everyday use, raku objects of art (display only), ceramic-resin-semi-gems, copper, and silver enameling to design earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets and finally pointing in oils, water-soluble oils, watercolours, acrylics. She also likes to create print and hand-made paper monotypes, knitting one-of-a-kind sweaters, hats and more. Over the years, she has been exploring new and unpredicted colour combinations in all forms of her art creating, searching for new harmony in off-symmetry and surprise in colours as well as the subject matter of her paintings and fluidity of real and imaginary view of the world around her. |
