Melanie, the artist behind Feather & Fern studio is both a potter and a fibre artist. Clay was her first love, her pots are formed using both slab building techniques as well as the wheel. Melanie loves to find ways to incorporate her love of nature into the pots by texturing with plants found in her garden or fossils found on the beach.

Her weavings are made using wool, alpaca, thrifted fibres as well as handspun. Landscape and seasons are the inspiration behind her woven stories and the making of them is a most meditative process.
