It is a lifelong journey of learning, finding expression in art, design & the natural world. Driven by the need to truly see, understand, create & portray these visuals has taken me along many paths with various mediums. Clay, soapstone & other earth materials are a dimensional, visual, tactile way to express the strength, resilience & the beauty of the human structure as well as the natural landscape. My hope is to express, invoke & convey the unspoken emotion of the model, muse, landscape or idea into the sculpture/painting to create a connection with the viewer.
Inspiration comes from life in all its forms, nature, people, life’s circumstance & even a plastic bag or a shadow on the wall. The real and the imagined, the journey continues…
